“I’m not answering any questions all summer,” I told my husband.
“No? Are you going to check your e-mail? Can they ask questions that way?”
Awww . . . he thought I meant I wasn’t going to answer students’ questions. I meant I’m not answering any questions.
My last stack of essays has been graded, teacher evaluations have been read, and the gradebook has been closed.
Summer is here.
What are you most looking forward to this summer?
Not grading papers?
Having evenings in which you don’t have to grade papers?
Not answering the same question 14 times a day?
Reading something other than student papers?
